Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these colouring books for adults?

Yes. Britain in Lines books are designed specifically for adults and older teens. The illustrations are architectural, calm, and intentionally not cartoon-style, making them suited to a slower, more mindful colouring experience.

  • What kind of illustrations are inside?

Each book features clean, simplified architectural illustrations inspired by real towns, cities, and places across the UK. They’re detailed enough to be engaging, but balanced to avoid feeling overwhelming.

  • How many illustrations are in each book?

Every book contains 20 full-page illustrations, all created in a consistent style by a single artist.

  • What paper is used?

All books are printed on thick 160gsm paper, chosen for its quality, durability, and suitability for colouring.

  • Can I use pens or markers?

Yes. The pages are single-sided, so coloured pencils, fineliners, and most markers can be used. If using alcohol-based markers, we recommend placing a spare sheet behind the page.

  • Are the pages printed on both sides?

No. Each illustration is printed on one side only, helping to reduce bleed-through and making the colouring experience more comfortable.

  • Do the books open flat?

Yes. The wire binding allows pages to open fully and remain flat on a table or lap.

  • How are the books bound?

All books are wire-bound with a black metal spine, allowing them to lie flat while colouring.

  • Are these suitable as gifts?

Very much so. Britain in Lines books are designed to feel thoughtful and gift-worthy, with premium materials and a calm, considered aesthetic.

  • Where are the books printed?

All books are printed in the UK.

  • Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes — we’re pleased to offer international delivery. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination.

  • How long does delivery take?

Delivery options and estimated times are shown clearly at checkout. Please note that delivery times are estimates and can occasionally be affected by postal delays.

  • What if my book arrives damaged?

If your book arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 30 days of purchase and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

  • Can I return a book if I change my mind?
